Basketball: North Little Rock and rolling

North Little Rock has the second seed in the 6A boys state tournament locked down after rolling past Conway and Little Rock Southwest and are now 15-2 overall and 9-2 in the 6A-Central.
Both losses are to Little Rock Central, the league leader.

There’s three games remaining in the regular season as the home date against Little Rock Catholic this Friday has been postponed due to school being out. It will now be played on Saturday.

There’s a trip to Cabot on Tuesday and the following Friday is a home game against Fort Smith Northside.

North Little Rock is looking more and more like the second place team in the 6A-Central after beating Conway last Friday and Little Rock Southwest on Tuesday night.

This Friday, a home game against Mount St. Mary’s has been postponed due to weather to noon on Saturday and but the trip to Cabot next Tuesday is still on.

The following Friday is a home game against Fort Smith Northside, currently undefeated in 6A action at 19-1 and arguably the state’s best girl’s team not in Melbourne.

The 6A state tournament starts in Fayetteville the first week of March and the top two seeds in each conference will get a first round bye.
