Like it wasn’t already hotter than hell outside, now Arkansas music fans are now facing a devil of a choice.
All because tours with in-state destinations have been forced to reschedule.
First it was The Avett Brothers, with Robert Earl Keen as the opener, got back into the touring game this year and they were supposed to play Aug. 8, of last year, in El Dorado in its sparkling Murphy Arts District.
The shows from that tour were rescheduled to this year.
Then it was Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit and Lucinda Williams as the opener and that show was originally set for this week, Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the First Security Amphitheater in downtown Little Rock.
Both shows are now set for Saturday, Aug. 14 and both shows will be outdoors, no way to beat the heat, and both are in the evening, with no way to make both.

The result doesn’t make you feel like you found a surprise $20 in your pocket, more like a pack of 30 to 50 feral hogs had invaded your yard.

Sigh.
Decisions, decisions.
