The Maumelle City Council didn’t meet on Monday night as previously scheduled due to Covid-19.
Mayor Caleb Norris and five City Council members were all exposed at a budget meeting last week where a person later tested positive and the current Centers for Disease Control guidelines require those who have had exposure to quarantine.
City Attorney Missi Krebs said in a Monday morning email, “we do not believe we will have a quorum present; accordingly, we will be unable to conduct the business on the agenda.”
Only three Council members were on hand Monday and those present voted to meet again on Monday, Nov. 29, the fifth Monday of the month.
A traffic committee meeting that was also scheduled for Monday has been moved to Nov. 29 as well.
