No Kings
In America, we don't do kings.
It is, in most every way, a foundational aspect of the United States.
As anyone who has ever taken an American history class, or at least seen Hamilton, would know.
But, given the current political climate and the yearning for something like a monarchy, some have decided to organize a "No Kings" day this Saturday.
You don't have to go as some clamor for the boot, but others? Not so much,
In Arkamsas, there's a total of a dozen events planned on Saturday from Fayetteville to Monticello to Paragould to Texarkana, with places like Harrison and Mountain Home thrown in for good measure.
In central Arkansas, there's an event scheduled for the Broadway Bridge on the Little Rock side of the river. It starts at 10 a.m. and is scheduled to last until 1 p.m.

Health
Pandemic deaths unknown
The state Department of Health didn’t update the state’s dashboard this week, again, and deaths still total 532 for the past year. There’s no tab created for 2025 either and the virus has now killed 14,162 Arkansans since the pandemic began then. That would mean the pandemic death toll has now passed Marion’s 13,635 people, the state’s 29th largest city.
