A ribbon-cutting will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14 at North Little Rock’s Laman Plaza, 2801 Orange St., for a new accessible playground.
The playground is between North Little Rock’s Community Center and Laman Library, roughly located on what was formerly the water fountain.

The playground can accommodate 269 children at a time and will be maintained by the city’s Parks & Recreation Department.
It was funded, in part, by Downtown Tip-Off Club attendees as a portion of admission goes to pay for accessible playgrounds in North Little Rock.
Downtown Tip-Off Club returns Dec. 17: Arkansas basketball coach Eric Musselman will be the speaker that day. The Razorbacks play the next day at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock.
