North Little Rock: Student production of Matilda the Musical coming Nov. 11

The theater arts department at North Little Rock High School will be staging a production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical in November.

The performance will be the high school’s first in-person production since before the ongoing pandemic began two years ago.

The first show will be on Thursday, Nov. 11 with a 7 p.m. start. That’s followed by a Saturday, Nov. 13 matinee at 1 p.m. and then a show that night at 7 p.m. The last show will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14.

Tickets for all shows are $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens.

The performance will be staged at the Performing Arts Center on the high school’s campus.

Covid protocols will be enforced and masks will be required inside while social distancing will also be in place. 

More than 150 students at the high school are involved in the production as cast or crew. 

North Little Rock’s previous theater productions have been top notch and this is a welcome return to a sort of normalcy. 

The currently scheduled Spring production will be Puffs: Two Act Edition for Young Wizards.
