Bailey was honored for the school year’s second quarter.

In her role at the school, Bailey works with other teachers on ways to improve the teaching of math and literacy. She has stepped up and worked as a substitute teacher as instructors were in short supply due to the ongoing pandemic.

Bailey was among nearly two dozen nominated for the honor by colleagues in the district.

In the nomination, fellow teacher Robert Browning said, “Mrs. Bailey always has a positive attitude and steps in whenever and however needed for the students, staff and parents. She always has encouraging words to say and motivates me to do my best no matter the task as well as reminding me that it's about the betterment of our students.”
