The Pulaski County Special School District announced Thursday afternoon that both Jeff Senn, the principal at Maumelle High School, and Ryan Burgess, the principal at Maumelle Middle School, were leaving.
Senn has been hired to be the superintendent at the Lonoke School District, while Burgess leaves to join the Arkansas Department of Education where he will serve as the State Leadership Development Coach
“Although Mr. Burgess and Mr. Senn will surely be missed, it brings us great pride to know that their talents as leaders in their new positions will continue to support students and families within the state of Arkansas," said district superintendent Dr. Charles McNulty in a statement.
With both schools now open, the district said a search for replacements would begin immediately and, “the recommendations for hire will be at the Board of Education meeting on July 13.”
