Maumelle Charter soccer coach Tyler Maynard knows when and where his team will be playing in next week’s Class 3A state tournament, but he doesn’t know what team the Falcons will be matched up with.
“It will either be Lifeway Christian or Decatur,” Maynard said. “Both are finishing their season, however.”
Maumelle Charter, fresh off a 7-1 home victory against LISA Academy North on Tuesday night, have one game remaining in the regular season. The team is now 10-3-2 and will be the No. 3 seed from the 3A-South. The Falcons two conference losses were to eventual league champ Central Arkansas Christian and runner-up Baptist Prep.
The 3A state tournament is hosted this year by CAC and matches will be played at North Little Rock’s Burns Park.
Maumelle Charter will play at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 13 against the No. 2 seed from the 3A-West.
“The bracket has not been filled yet,” Maynard said and the Class 3A bracket can be viewed by clicking here. It should be updated this weekend.
