Soccer: North Little Rock’s Ellis, Fimple and Nash named all-state

After the most successful season in school history, North Little Rock’s Lady Soccer team racked up some individual post-season honors.

Leading the way were a trio of players named all-state. They are:

  • Rylee Ellis

  • Payten Fimple

  • Sophie Nash

Coach Michael Klucher was named the 6A-Central conference Coach of the Year, and it has been an especially big week for Klucher, besides making the Class 6A semifinals, then the coaching honor followed, and that was capped with his son, Justin and daughter-in-law Bri, both graduating from medical school at UAMS.

In addition to the all-state honors, Nash was named an all-star and to the conference’s all-academic team, and Fimple was also honored for her stellar academics. Fimple is the oldest daughter of North Little Rock girls basketball coach Daryl Fimple, who served as team’s bus driver for the state tournament.

Players named second team all-conference were:

  • Laney Hopkins

  • Avery Stephens
