Maumelle Charter rolled past Conway Christian, 58-44, this past Friday night in the last game of 2020 for coach Josh Sensabaugh and his Falcons. The score is a bit deceiving as it looks closer than it actually was as Maumelle Charter was up 35-8 at the half. The win pushes Maumelle Charter to 2-1 in the 2A-5 conference, It was also a league win on Dec. 15 when the Falcons took down Hector, 68-62, as Caleb Ross finished with 29 points and almost pulled off the double-double with 9 rebounds.
The next scheduled game for Maumelle Charter is a trip to Bigelow for a conference game on Jan. 5, then return to the Falcons Nest for a game against Quitman. Maybe, the ongoing pandemic has played havoc on high school basketball teams across the state.
