A mass Covd-19 vaccination clinic will be held in North Little Rock this Friday.
It will start at 10 a.m. and be at Shorter College at 604 N. Locust St., and you have to be pre-registered as onsite registration will not be allowed. The clinic will end at 2 p.m. and is being done by UAMS.
A second vaccination clinic will be held this Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church, 1821 Edmonds St., in the Glenview neighborhood.
It is being sponsored by Baptist Health and will start at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.
Those wanting to be vaccinated must be pre-registered and to do so, call 501-202-1540. Deadline to register is this Friday.
Those eligible for both clinics are the 1A and 1B groups.
So that would include: Health care workers, long-term care residents and staff, EMS, fire and law enforcement who serve as first responders and other high priority groups in 1A, while 1B includes: Those 65 and older, educators, food and agriculture, essential government and others.
Proof of employment for verification is required..
Joining with UAMS in the first vaccination clinic effort are: Shorter College, the city of North Little Rock, Dixie Community Addition, 12th Episcopal District, Eighth Street Baptist Church, Dark Hollow Community Neighborhood Association, the Arkansas Department of Veteran Affairs, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Bank of America Foundation.
