I believe there are as many Maumelle residents who are against changing this ordinance as there are for it. I for one am against it.
The city council members are elected by the city residents to make decisions on issues that best serve the community as a whole. From time to time there are issues that are referred for a vote by the residents. I think this is one of those issues. I’m not sure how that would be done, but please consider it.
