Baptist Health Community Outreach is offering free back-to-school immunizations for students in central Arkansas.
There’s no immunizations planned in Maumelle and in North Little Rock, it will be held from 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday, Aug 7, at New Hope Baptist Church, 1821 Edmond St. Preschool physicals will also be available that day.
Free backpacks filled with school supplies will be given to the first 50 children who receive immunizations at each location. If you’re planning to attend, bring shot records and if you have Medicaid, bring proof of coverage.
Pre-registration is encouraged by calling 501-202-1540 but walk-ins are welcome.
There’s also several planned in Little Rock. They are:
Saturday, Aug. 7, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Southwest Community Center, 6401 Baseline Road
Monday, Aug. 9, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Liberty Hill Baptist Church, 1215 S. Schiller St.
Saturday, Aug. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, West Central Community Center, 8616 Colonel Glenn Road
Partnership for a Healthy Arkansas Building , 10117 Kanis Road, will have three on Tuesday, Aug. 10, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday, Aug. 12, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday, Aug. 16, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In other vaccination news, North Little Rock Judge Paula Juels Jones recently announced the city’s District Criminal Court will be offering credit towards fines and probation with proof of vaccination. Call 501-791-8561 for more information.
