In the first round of the 5A-Central district tournament, Sylvan Hills beat Maumelle, 64-33, to advance to the semifinals and next week’s state tournament in Hot Springs.

Maumelle ends an odd season at 3-13 and all the wins came in 2020.

The Hornets open the district tournament tonight in a game against Beebe
