Three seniors at Maumelle were named to All-State in football.

Maumelle went 6-4 overall and finished third in the 5A-Central, the state’s toughest football conference. Pulaski Academy, the conference champ, won the state title, while Little Rock Christian was the runner-up in the conference and also lost a rematch to PA in the championship game.
Maumelle lost to Wynne in the second round of the playoffs.

The All-State players are:

• Dashaire Ford-Burton, 5-foot-10, 185 pounds, defensive back and wide receiver, who also returned kicks and punts
