North Little Rock: Community Garden program to host workshops

Next Tuesday, April 19, the North Little Rock Community Garden program is having a flower bomb workshop at 1900 Pine St.

The workshop will start at 10 a.m. and be in partnership with the Arkansas Dream Center/Every Arkansan.

The workshop will feature native wildflower seeds and to register for the free event, click here. Minimum age is 18 or 6 if accompanied by an adult.

A second event will be held the following day on Wednesday, April 20, at the St. Joseph Center at 6800 Camp Robinson Road in North Little Rock.

Part one starts at 8:30 a.m. and is a workday to prepare for summer crops, that’s followed by a sign-painting workshop that starts at 12:30 p.m.

The signs made that day will be distributed to other gardens participating in the city’s community garden project, which has more than 20 gardens in its network.

The last event is on Thursday, April 21, and is a Levy-Spur Trail cleanup.

It starts at 9 a.m. and will begin with a meetup at the intersection of W. 44th and Sycamore streets in North Little Rock’s Levy neighborhood.
