April is Volunteer Appreciation Month and the city of North Little Rock recognized Randy Naylor for his contributions to the community.
Naylor is the Chairman of Keep North Little Rock Beautiful, the group that produces the annual Littler Survey and hosts The Great North Little Rock Cleanup in the spring and The Great Arkansas River Cleanup in the fall with 250 volunteers.
Naylor and his group work with any organization looking to have a special clean-up event by providing the supplies and some volunteers. He is the President of the Scenic Hill Neighborhood Association and has weekly trash pickups in his neighborhood.
Naylor has given out over 2,000 trees to North Little Rock residents, adopted Emerald Park as a cleanup project, installed trash traps near the Arkansas River and other waterways to keep garbage out and also worked with the Arkansas Canoe Club to keep those bodies of water clean.
